As we know, Google is the most famous search engine, globally and millions of people use it everyday. And there are several modifiers and operators available which you can use in your search query to improve your search results.

Google Tricks List-
Search exact phrase(” “)-
If you want an exact phrase into your search results, then enclose your search query within quotes.
Example- If you want to join music classes which are happening online, you can use “online music classes,” this query will get you results of the exact phrase in their pages.

Syntax: “search query”
Find words(allintext)-
If you want specific text in only the site’s text body, then use this modifier. It will not include links, URLs, and titles.
Example- Suppose you want to search for hacking fundamental then use this modifier.
allintext:hacking fundamental
Syntax: allintext:keywords
Find word(intext)-
If you want to search for some text included in different places like title, URL, and text body, then use this modifier.
Example- Suppose you want to search for an article on the health benefit of green tea.
intext:Health benefit of green tea
Syntax: intext:keywords
Search keyword in URL(allinurl)-
If you want in your search results a particular keyword which is used in URL, then you can use this modifier.
Example- Suppose you want to search for an off-page strategy, but you want to make sure that these keywords are used in the URL then you can use this modifier.
allinurl:off-page strategy
Syntax: allinurl:keywords
Search within a website(site)-
If you want to search for a particular word within a particular website, then this modifier restricts the google search of that query within that specific website.
Example- If you want to know on-page seo techniques, but only on backlinko.com, you should use this modifier.
site:backlinko.com on-page seo
Syntax: Site:sitename query
Excluded words(-)-
Use a hyphen to eliminate a particular keyword from your search results.
Example- Suppose you want to search for a free editing application, but only for android and want to exclude ios apps, then you can use minus sign or hyphen before ios and type another search query. One thing I want to tell you is that minus sign should be put before the keyword you want to exclude.

Syntax: -excludekeyword search query / search query -excludekeyword
Search similar words(~)-
If you want to search for a specific word and synonyms, you can use this modifier.
Example- Suppose you searched in google with a modifier like ~mobile phone then it will result you with the same words.
~mobile phone
Syntax: ~keyword
Search multiple words(or)-
This modifier will help google in searching for web pages that include either word.
Example- If you want to search for results that have either word from your query. Like you want a recipe of momos either grilled or steamed.
momos grilled OR steamed
Syntax: Keyword1 OR keyword2
Find numerical ranges(…)-
If you want to search for information that comes under a range of numbers, then this modifier will help in your results.
Example- If you want to know the cricket news between 2017 to 2019, then use this modifier.

Syntax: keywords firstnumber…secondnumber
Find meaning(define)-
You can use this modifier to search for the definition of any word or phrase.
Example- Suppose you want to know the definition of philosophy then use this modifier. It will result in different pages that define philosophy.

Syntax: define:keyword or phrase.
Search linked pages(link)-
If you want to know different linked pages to a particular website, then you should use this.
Example- Suppose you want to know the linked page of any blog then search on google with this modifier, and it will show all web pages linked to that site.
link:trendook.com
Syntax: link:website address
Do math problems-
You can do math calculations directly on google. Enter numbers with an operator and it will give you the result of the calculation.
Example- Let’s assume you want to calculate 10*10.
Syntax: number operator number
Do conversions(convert)-
If you want to convert any currency, or metric, then you can do it on google.
Example- Suppose you want to convert dollars in euro, then type convert dollar in euro and enter. It will show your answer.

Syntax: convert one unit in second unit / convert one unit to the second unit
Search similar websites(related)-
If you want to search websites with similar content, then use this modifier with that website, you want to search.
Example- You want to search a website similar to nytimes.com, then you should use this modifier.

Syntax: related:sitename
Search for different filetype(filetype)-
If you want to find some file type through your search, this modifier will help you.
Example- Suppose you want a pdf file on gardening then use this trick to get a pdf file in your results.
filetype:pdf gardening
Syntax: filetype:filextension query
See the time of anywhere(time)-
You can search for time of any place from anywhere in the world on google.
Example- Suppose you want to know the current time in Mexico, then type time in Mexico and enter.

Syntax: time in city name
Get customer support information-
You can search for customer support of any organization.
Example- If you want customer support numbers from amazon, you have to type amazon customer support number.

Get etymologies(etymology)-
You can search the origin and history of any word by using this modifier in your search query.
Example- Suppose you want to check the etymology of philosophy word then search.

Syntax: Etymology:word
Get Sunrise and Sunset time(sunset/sunrise)-
If you want to know the sunset and sunrise time of a specific location of a specific date, then use these keywords in your search query.
Example- Suppose you want to know the sunset time of new york on 1 January 2020 then type sunset New York 1 January 2020.

Syntax: Sunrise/Sunset location and date
Translate words to another language(translate)-
You can use google as a translator to translate different languages words or sentences in any language.
Example- Suppose you want to know the English meaning of hola, type hola in English and press enter. Both work the same, and you will get the answer to that word in English.

Find stock price and information-
You can check stock prices and their recent history by type the stock name in google.
Example- Suppose you want to know the details of Microsoft stock, then type Microsoft stock name in google, and it will show you the price and recent history of the stock how it is performing. MSFT

Use Google as a timer-
Example- Suppose you want a 15 minutes timer than write in a search box 15 minutes timer.

Use as a stopwatch-
You can use google as a stopwatch type stopwatch in google and enter. It will show you a stopwatch on the result page.

Find your IP-
If you want to know your IP address, then type in google my IP or IP address, and it will show you your IP address.
Syntax: my IP
See the date of the festival/holidays-
You can check the date of the upcoming festival in google.
Example- Suppose you want to know the date of Halloween, then you have to type Halloween 2021 date, and it will show you the date of Halloween 2021.
