Whenever we found anything important while using the computer, we instantly want to save or take a screenshot of that page.

But before we get into the methods, I want to tell you that. We can take screenshots in windows 10 by pressing the shortcut keys or by the snipping tool. These shortcut keys are so simple, but if you have a problem remembering these shortcut keys. Then I suggest you, use windows in-built software. Take a screenshot in Windows 10 with shortcut keys

There are multiple shortcut keys available in windows 10, which you can use to take screenshot in windows 10 instantly. And I try to mention all of them in this article. The working of these keys differs from others.

  • Prt Scn –
    Press the prt scn key, which is on the top right corner of the keyboard. The open page in your computer will get copied to the clipboard. And for saving it on your pc, you have to paste it in paint or word to save it.
  • Windows + Prt scn –
    When you click these two keys, windows + prt scn simultaneously, your PC’s screen will blink once and your PC’s open page will automatically save in the Screenshot folder of the Pictures.
  • Windows + shift + S –
    After clicking these three keys simultaneously, a window’s in-built software will get opened (snip & sketch). In it, you can take a screenshot of the page in several types, like a rectangular clip, free-form clip, and full form clip. And the clipped section will get saved to your clipboard, and you can edit and save it through snip & sketch software.
  • Windows + G –
    By pressing these two buttons, the Xbox game bar opens. In the Xbox game bar, you can perform multiple tasks, including taking a screenshot. After opening it, you will see the capture section in it, and there is a camera icon. By clicking that icon, the screenshot will get saved in the Captures sub-folder of the Video folder on your PC. Either you can follow this method, or you can press the below shortcut keys to do it.
  • Windows + alt + prt scn –
    So this is the shortcut keys that are used to capture the screenshot in windows 10. I have mentioned above the same method to do it, but you can do it by pressing these combinations of keys. The captured screenshot will get saved in the Capture sub-folder in the Video folder on the PC.

Then there is an inbuilt application ‘Snipping tool’ in windows that you can use to take a screenshot in your windows pc. In this software, there are total four modes available to capture a screenshot, free-form snip, rectangular snip, window snip, and full-screen snip.

  • Open snipping tool (type snipping tool in the search box in the taskbar).
  • Select the mode as per your need, which I have mentioned above.
  • After selecting the mode, the mouse pointer will change into the plus sign.
